We are officially back online! Over the past few months, the infrastructure here has undergone a massive overhaul. We have completely migrated from a standard Docker Standalone setup to a highly available Docker Swarm cluster.
Getting here meant spinning up new hosts, completely refining how applications are deployed, and integrating brand new network storage (complete with NFS and SMBFS shares). It wasn’t without its hurdles—wrestling with legacy database hashes, sorting out overlay mesh networks, and taming container permissions—but the foundation is now rock solid.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be publishing the documentation and standard operating procedures detailing exactly how I made all these services Swarm-aware. If you’re interested in increasing uptime, scaling your own self-hosted services, or just reading about some serious homelab problem-solving, stay tuned.
